Our Story

Everything we are today as Midtown Coffee and Natural State Coffee Roasters was born out of a love for coffee and a love of God! We truly enjoy serving our community by bringing a great coffee culture to the awesome people of the River Valley. Our guiding principle is “People First, Then Coffee” reflecting our love for people and sincere desire to serve great coffee and drinks.

Midtown is operated by the Evants family who purchased Midtown at the end of 2016. At that time, we operated the location at the City Mall only. By the end of 2018 we stated work on our second location in Dardanelle on highway 7 by opening a coffee trailer. We quickly grew and started renovating the small building on the property to create a drive-through location that has continued to grow. In 2019 we opened our third location on north El Paso. The “Express” location grew quickly during Covid until we saw we could not maintain the number of cars flooding the little place. This led to us eventually moving Express to the 1108 North Arkansas location which we opened September of 2021. There we enjoy both a drive-through and inside seating.

We also formed “Natural State Coffee Roasters” in 2019 and started roasting some of our own coffee. Josiah Evants began to move off the espresso bar to roast more and more of the great coffee you enjoy today. We enjoy sourcing just the right origins and roasting to bring you a great variety of beans to brew at home. We have great plans for Natural State in the future!

We are continuing to expand by opening a new drive through location in Atkins in summer of 2022. It will be located across from Casey’s just off I-40 and we look forward to serving all our friends there as well as many people popping in off I-40. Stay tuned for more exciting things!
